In 2003 Embryo continues its series of exciting live recordings from 2002 and 2003. Contributors from four continents are represented on this CD: China, Afghanistan, Japan, USA (by the Sun Ra Arkestra), Gambia and also Germany.

The musical dimensions that collide here are correspondingly complex. Contradictions are not pasted over, there is no search for the smallest musical denominator, no world-musical “one-size-fits-all” mush. The radicalism of old jazz warhorses flashes up again and again. New and extremely enriching is the singer Mik Quantius, who uses his voice as a noise artist and produces completely unorthodox forms of scat singing.
