EMBRYO
2001 Live
Embryo “2001 Live Vol. 1” once again gives a deep insight into the incredibly versatile and tireless creative power of this band. Again recorded at various concerts mainly in Germany recorded in Embryo’s unmistakable style: short pieces with hard fade-ins and fade-outs or sprawling ten-minute songs.
Star guests on this CD are Amon Düül’s Chris Karrer and Dieter Serfas, Max Weissenfeldt (Beanfield, Poets of Rhythm), the Chinese lute player Mu Sa, and the 20-year-old Bulgarian violin virtuoso Efgeni Atanasov.
Typical for the Globetrotters and their world-musical philosophy that connects peoples is the piece “No War”, recorded on 21.09.01 with Afghan and American musicians.
